Online Lighting Salesperson is the fastest growing online lighting retailer based in beautiful central Pennsylvania. We pride ourselves in providing the opportunity for our customers to speak (or chat) with a lighting expert from 8am to midnight 7 days a week. These lighting experts provide a distinct selling opportunity to our organization and we’re looking to expand this team. This unique position allows you to use your experience in sales and our training in the Lighting industry to successfully close sales opportunities and build relationships that lead to recurring revenues. It’s in our nature to “wow” everyone that we come in contact with and this position will help bring this to life every day.

We offer a competitive base salary and generous uncapped commissions so the earning potential is significant for the right person! Our marketing team(s) will drive the leads and help make the phones ring, but the perfect candidate will know how to qualify a customer, overcome objections, close a sale, and deliver a “wow” experience.

This is a remote working position driving sales through the phone, Live Chat, and through our Lead Generation Tools. Our Sales team is available from 8am-midnight 7 days a week and we offer flexible scheduling, but you should be prepared to regularly work some evenings and/or a weekend day as part of your fixed schedule.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Express a positive, professional and upbeat attitude when speaking with customers (smiling through the phone)
  • Answer phone and web based questions pertaining to customer order requests and product questions
  • Receive and handle inbound telephone calls from customers inquiring about products and return merchandise
  • Interact with customers via an online live chat forum
  • Provide quotes and assist with all customer satisfaction related inquiries
  • Applies customer credit card payments and store credit payments. In certain circumstances works to handle payment via check, money order, or wire transfer
  • Follow up with customers regarding questions or concerns that could not be immediately resolved
  • Follow up with vendors to clarify discrepancies or issues with customers orders
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as responding to general emails, answering questions, generating reports, etc.
  • Research will involve both written and verbal communication with our customers, vendors and internal team
  • Remain aware and knowledgeable of promotional programs, competitive products, and key selling points of products and technologies


  • 3+ Years of Sales experience with Lighting and/or Home Decor
  • Background in over-the-phone and/or online sales
  • Track record of achievement
  • Confident phone presence and strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to rapidly learn products and processes
  • High-level of integrity and resilient temperament
